About Alan Woolvet Consultancy Ltd

With the constant changes to Health & Safety requirements and the current trends in litigation it is important that all companies protect their employees and themselves from hazards and risk. The Health and Safety (Offences) Act 2008 which came into force on 16 January 2009. Under these provisions offenders who break the law will be subjected to higher fines and longer sentences. The Act makes imprisonment an option for more health and safety offences in both the lower and higher courts. It also allows certain offences which at one time could only be tried in lower courts, be tried in the higher courts. However the main change which the Act has brought is to raise the maximum fine which may be imposed in the lower courts to £20,000 for most health and safety offences.

I offer help and advice to SMEs.

Using the experience gained from a wide range of manufacturing disciplines over 37 years I decided to set up my own Health & Safety Company. It was formed in February 2011 and since then I have built a customer base in the South Devon area working for some prestigious companies.

My approach is to work with the owner, director or manager and employees to give the business what it requires to comply with the law.

I can offer small companies a very cost effective approach because I charge per hour and have no minimum or call out fees.

Through working with the people that know their own business very well I can put in anything form some simple, easy to manage paperwork through to a complete, complex system.

I can offer everything from simple, easy to explain advice through to a full audit of the company and would be happy to meet with you and give you an initial free wander-around assessment.

You can contact me either by phone or e-mail to discuss your company's specific requirements.
